Ellerman House Cape Town | WORLD OF WANDERLUST

1. Ellerman House

Ellerman House is my personal favourite hotel in Cape Town. It is a luxurious villa located in Bantry Bay, the affluent neighbourhood on the coastline of the Atlantic seaboard. Even Prince Harry and Megan were recent guests of the property!

Silo Hotel | WORLD OF WANDERLUST

2. The Silo Hotel

The Silo Hotel is perhaps the most known luxury hotel in the city of Cape Town. Thanks to its iconic location inside an old grain silo, this hotel opened to much acclaim both from international and local guests. If you check in to the Silo Hotel, be sure to request a mountain facing room. That way you can watch the sunset over Lion’s Head and Table Mountain all from the comfort of your luxurious bathtub.

Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel Cape Town | WORLD OF WANDERLUST

3. Belmond Mount Nelson

I checked in to the Belmond Mount Nelson on my third visit to Cape Town and I was so surprised by this oasis in the heart of the city. The hotel has a similar vibe to the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles (also known as the pink palace!) This hotel has a very strong American clientele, who are visiting Cape Town for the summer beaches and food and wine scene.

4. Tintswalo Atlantic

This is the most recent hotel I have stayed at in Cape Town and it was certainly a stay to remember! Tintswalo Atlantic is located 30-minutes drive from the city, making it a great choice for travellers who prefer to be oceanside and away from the busy city. The hotel is also located right before the famed Chapman’s Peak Drive, which is the gateway to boulders beach and the equally famous penguins.

Gorgeous George Review | World of Wanderlust

5. Gorgeous George

If you are looking for an inner-city escape in a beautiful design hotel, then look no further than Gorgeous George. This is one of Cape Town’s newest hotels and it is home to one of the best rooftop bars in the city. Even if you don’t stay here, I would highly recommend booking a table at Gigi Rooftop. This is one of my favourite locations in all of Cape Town.

6. Cape Cadogan

Cape Cadogan is another great choice for travellers who prefer to be located in the heart of the city. This luxury boutique hotel is decked out in black and white, making it a great hotel choice for interior design lovers. The hotel is just a short walk from nearby Kloof Street, where you will find many of Cape Town’s best restaurants and bars.

7. Twelve Apostles

Finally, a beautiful hotel located on the Atlantic ocean that feels a world away from the city, is the Twelve Apostles. This hotel is a popular choice for travellers looking to be by the sea. It is also a popular choice for locals hosting weddings and evening sundowners in the summer.
